For all that we talk about reducing stress, here’s the truth: stress is your ally, and you don’t actually need less of it.
Seriously. You don’t need less stress. Just need a different relationship to it.
Modern life is intense, full of meaningful work and challenges. You have goals, responsibilities, people you love, causes you value—of course you feel stress.
The problem isn’t stress. It’s what happens after too much stress for too long—when stress turns into overwhelm and your body never accesses true rest. That’s when negative chain reactions begin to unfold.
You don’t need to be better or do more. You just need the capacity to access what you already are.
The cycle most women are stuck in
Push, manage, carry, try. Plan, execute, hurry. Remember everything. Remind others of everything. Keep all the balls in the air, all the time.
Until you snap at your kids, shut down with your partner, make another excuse, procrastinate past the point of no return, or feel too exhausted to tackle one more task.
At some point, you finally pause to rest…so why do you so rarely feel rested?
We’ve been taught that the answer is to try harder. And that somehow, while trying harder, we’re supposed to reduce our stress!
Let yourself off the hook for that one. The answer is actually to make your stress work for you and be able to stop and really rest before your stress degenerates into overwhelm.
It’s got nothing to do with working harder OR smarter, and everything to do with developing your capacity.

The Well-Stressed Woman: a different approach
In this work, we don’t try to eliminate stress, we learn to use it.
Stress is your ally. It’s the energy that helps you act, create, and move toward every goal that matters.
Stress is your resource. You can learn to work with it—and put appropriate boundaries around it—instead of being controlled by it.
And oh by the way, alongside all that useful stress, rest is non-negotiable.

What you’ll build in the Well-Stressed Woman
This work is about capacity: your ability to hold the intensity of life—pleasure as well as discomfort—without collapsing.
Capacity allows you to contain your stress without tipping into overwhelm, stay present instead of shutting down, follow through on what’s important to you, and become a container for what you most desire instead of a sieve that your desires slip through.
With capacity, you can face the things that always made you turn away before. You can hold space for your own discomfort and stay steady in the face of big challenges, changes, or opportunities. Capacity gives you access to the version of yourself you’ve been wanting to become.
